Review our Health Guarantee

This contract is the full agreement between you (the Buyer) and Stony Meadows, LLC (the Seller). Here's what it covers in plain English:

Your puppy's health at the time of sale

We have had your puppy examined by our veterinarian before purchase, and we believe them to be in good health. We'll send you home with a complete health record, including vaccination and deworming history.

What you need to do within 10 days

We ask that you take your puppy to your own vet within 10 days of purchase. If your vet finds a life-threatening illness, you must let us know within 24 hours of that appointment and share the veterinary report with us. Our vet will review the findings, and if they agree with the diagnosis, we'll replace your puppy. This health guarantee covers the first 30 days from your purchase date, and you may choose either a replacement or a full refund (transportation costs are not included).

If your puppy passes away within 30 days

If your puppy dies within the first 30 days and a congenital defect is suspected, an autopsy must be performed at your expense. If our vet confirms the cause of death was a congenital defect, we will replace the puppy at no charge. A written statement from a licensed veterinarian is required.

What we don't guarantee

Our puppies are sold as beloved pets. We make no guarantees regarding size, color, markings, temperament, or breeding, hunting, and show ability. Costs related to spaying or neutering (including undescended testes) are not covered under this guarantee, and we do not cover any condition resulting from carelessness, neglect, or abuse.

Your responsibilities as a pet owner

By purchasing one of our puppies, you're committing to providing a lifetime of love, a safe and comfortable environment, regular grooming, and prompt medical care. After the purchase date, we are not responsible for any medical, dental, or surgical costs related to your dog's ongoing care.

When the guarantee doesn't apply

Our health and genetic guarantee is void if your puppy develops any illness or injury as a result of being overweight, malnourished, or neglected. The guarantee also becomes void if the puppy is rehomed to a third party.

No refunds for change of mind

We are not able to offer a refund or replacement due to buyer's remorse or a change in living situation. We also do not guarantee any dog's behavior. That said, if you are ever truly unable to care for your dog, we will always take them back — for life. All records must be returned with the dog.

Legal jurisdiction

This contract is legally binding and falls under the jurisdiction of the State of Pennsylvania, County of Northumberland. Any disputes will be handled within that jurisdiction.

Extended health guarantee

Our standard guarantee covers life-threatening health defects for 30 days from purchase. However, if you choose to continue feeding your puppy Pawtree Dog Food — purchased through our link at www.pawtree.com/stonymeadows — we'll extend that guarantee to a full year from the date of birth. We recommend setting up an EZ-Ship order to make this easy. Please note: the extended guarantee only applies to food purchased through our specific link.
