The Mini Golden Retriever | The Breed to Own

This environment allows our puppies to learn to use a doggy door at a very young age to go outside for potty breaks. Most dogs, even young puppies, have a natural instinct to keep their personal space clean. By giving them the option to go outside, we work with this instinct.

At 5 weeks old: We prop open their doggy door to encourage them to explore the outside world for their bathroom needs.
By 6 weeks old: They are typically doing all their “business” outside!

This process not only makes cleanup much easier for our crew, but it also gives you a huge head start on potty training when you bring your new puppy home.
